Michaela is a singer, dancer, actor, musician, and model. Born Michaela Kristina Boissonneault, known professionally as Michaela Bolt, she was raised north of Boston in picturesque Portland, Maine. Michaela started dancing at age 4, singing at 6, and playing piano at 10. In 5th grade, Michaela declared her dream to star on Broadway and she has never looked back.

Michaela graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Texas State University, under the direction of Kaitlin Hopkins, Jim Price, and Cassie Abate. Michaela was a multi-year Maine NATS winner, a 2013 Young Arts award winner, and she has performed for thousands of people in notable venues such as Carnegie Hall, Jordan Hall, Merrill Auditorium, Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Forbidden City Concert Hall (Beijing, China), Teaterkjeller'n (Oslo, Norway), and Fenway Park (4 times!).

She has worked on and off stage with many Broadway artists, such as Jeff Whiting, Donna Drake, Michael Gorman, Andrew Lippa, Robert Creighton, Tyler Hanes, Jessica Lee Goldyn, Kingsley Leggs, Trista Dollison, Jeremiah James, Timothy Hughes, Jeff Heimbrock, Adam Cates, Kristin Chenoweth, Michael Balderrama, Bill Bateman, Mark Aldrich, Blake Hammond, Jonalyn Saxer, and many more.

Proud alum of VocaLibre (TXST Vocal Ensemble), Walnut Hill Summer Program, New England Conservatory, The Broadway Theatre Project, NYU Steinhardt Summer Intensive, Bårdar Akademiet Norway/US Exchange Program, and The Maine State Music Theatre Internship Program (2013).

Michaela’s first contract as a member of Actors’ Equity Association was playing Shelly (also Tracy’s Understudy, Ensemble, and the “Mama I’m A Big Girl Now Playoff” Featured Soloist) in North Shore Music Theatre’s production of HAIRSPRAY in Beverly, MA.

Outside of theatre, Michaela is a huge New England sports fan, she loves yoga, gelato, crocs, rollercoasters, fuzzy socks, traveling, Christmas, anything pink, playing guitar and ukulele, jamming with musical friends, and hanging out with her large, loving family (especially her little sister/#1 fan).
